This is a powerful and dynamic painting that captures the biblical showdown between David and Goliath. 
In this artwork, David is portrayed as a young, determined figured, standing confidently on the left side of the canvas, looking upwards with a sling in his hand. His expression is one of calm resolve, and despite his smaller stature, his presence is commanding. Above him, almost touching his head, hovers a golden crown, glowing softly, symbolising his divine an ointment as the future king of Israel. This crown serves as a visual representation of David’s destiny and God’s favour, highlighting his status as the chosen one.
On the right side, Goliath looms large, a towering figure of menace, looking downwards towards David with a sneer of contempt. His size and armour are depicted in great detail, emphasising the stark contrast between the giant warrior and the shepherd boy.
