Walk and Talk Scotland was set up by Richard Peter-Tennant, a Crystal Palace fan, and Paul Murphy, a Dundee FC supporter to help men to help themselves especially with Mental Health as men are more likely to sadly take their own lives... And Dundee has one of the highest level of suicide deaths in Europe.
They have arranged a number of events since 2019 to reduce the stigma of Mental Health and raise awareness.
As football fans they organised the first Walk and Talk in a football setting in Scotland also in 2019 when Dundee FC played their neighbours and derby Dundee United FC at Dens Park.Their purpose was to show that there is a common camaraderie with football supporters of different clubs as Mental Health issues affect all of us and doesn't discriminate against whoever you support or not.
